CODE OF CONDUCT

Reason for our Policies

  1. To provide safe training to all students, performers, coaches, substitute coaches, and guest trainers 

  2. To decrease unsafe behaviors among students, performers, coaches, substitute coaches and guest trainers

  3. To increase the level of understanding of the importance of creating a positive and safe environment within the dojo

  4. To provide clear code of conduct guidelines for students, performers, coaches, substitute coaches, and guest trainers

  5. To increase and promote a lifelong involvement in the Professional Wrestling Community in the Pacific Northwest. TRAINING NEVER ENDS! 

Guideline Principals

  1. Training at the Lions Gate Dojo and partnering seminars will help in everyone’s Professional Wrestling journey and will teach teamwork, discipline, respect, and will contribute to a better quality of life physically and mentally

  2. A safe and positive environment provides maximum enjoyment and benefits from participating in training with the Lions Gate Dojo

  3. The Lions Gate Dojo Code of Conduct exists to protect all students, coaches, substitute coaches, guest trainers, and spectators. Everyone has a responsibility in complying with the Code of Conduct guidelines while training and representing the Dojo. 

  4. Violent or abusive behaviours such as verbal threats and insults, attempts to intimidate as well as physical assault and battery have no place at the Lions Gate Dojo.

  5. Education and training to raise awareness of unsafe behaviours will promote positive and safe environments for all students, coaches, substitute coaches, guest trainers, and spectators.

Inappropriate Behaviours

Inappropriate behaviours include but are not limited to the following:

  • Verbal assaults

  • Threats and attempts to intimidate

  • Throwing of articles in a deliberate or aggressive manner

  • Aggressive approaches to other individuals

  • Physical assault of other individuals outside of training or performing 

  • Engaging in reckless training causing an unsafe condition

  • Attempts to goad or incite violence in others

  • Displaying of abusive or offensive materials, words or images 

  • Attending training while under the influence of illicit substances including but not limited to alcohol, marijuana, recreational or performance enhancing drugs 

  • Harassment of any individual will not be tolerated. Everyone at the Lions Gate Dojo is free to be themselves and will not be subject to harassment based on race, religion or sexual orientation

  • Sexual harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Sexual harassment can include but is not limited to unwanted physical sexual advances, unwanted verbal or written sexual advances, inappropriate touching or contact, and inappropriate sexual comments
